1. In your opinion, what was the purpose of this blogging activity? (Why did I choose to do blogging instead of more traditional writing activities?)

In my opinion, you chose this because blogging is much more interesting then just writting. Yes we do the same thing as just typeing it on a seperate piece of paper. But its really cool to know that people from all around the world can see your writting. I think you also chose this because it will make us interested in writting a blog. It will encourages you to keep writting, with a good mood too. Another reason why you chose to do blogging is because it keeps pressure on us. We know that the world could see our post so we wite in a kinda different way, we wirte while trying to make this intresting to people around the globe. I hae enjoyed this type of writting more then a regular piece of work. You may of also chosen this type of writting for peopel to get comments back, encauragement and advice.

2. What have you accomplished during your blogging?

I feel like I have accompished many things actualy. I don’t know what all them are but its nice to look back and see what i have done on my blog. It kinda feels like collage when you have to turn something in by a date on the internet or something; its really good to get a taste of that in 8th grade. I feel accopmished that I have turned in all my assighnmetns on time, and done them well too. I didnt do them great but we learn from our mistakes. I also feel accomplished that I worked and put alot of time and thought into my writting, I made sure I wasnt going to just blow blogging off. Well i didnt blow it off and im glad i didn’t.

3. What key concepts have you learned while blogging? (This can be about writing, research or technology etc.)

I have learnt how to actuly put post up, make a good blog and add things to it. I have learnt many cool things from blogging. I have learnt that writting can be fun, intreeging and not only on paper reports. I think i have learnt how to write in a different way somehow. I cant really explain it but knowing the world can read your post it makes you write differntly; Well it made me write differently at least. The one and only key concept for me is that bogging is really important, and you need to know how to intrest people from all around the world.

4. Based on the skills you learned while blogging, how will this benefit you in the future? This maybe inside or outside of school.

This will benifit me in soooooo many ways. As I said before, this is kinda like collage assignments, how they need to turn something in online. This also could be good inside of school if we start blogging again, will know how to do many things to my blog. in my future job, I will be able to write in different types of forms. I can also remember how many interesting things are in the blogging world so i can come and look at other peoples post. This has also given me a taste of new and other infomation and type of writting that can be posted around the world. Im exreamly glad we had the oppertunity to do stuff like this instead of wtitting regular reports.

It was early in the morning in 23rd of January 2009; so early you could barely see the sun rise up from the horizon. The fog that rose up made Tony almost invisible but still he knew he was being watched while walking in Central Park. Still and quiet, a chill crawled up and scrambled all around his body.

Tony a 6’3”, very well built, blonde haired, clean cut on his face, 34-year-old man who had been working with the secret organization of the U.S. for 8 years. He was on a mission that went all wrong, very wrong. His own partner, Alex, was a double agent; he had framed Tony for the assassination of Mexico’s president. Who knew that a mission to steal some top-secret information could turn out to be like this? Tony was just blacklisted (fired) yesterday. The rage still lingers on in him; Disbelief that no one would believe him, not even let him tell his side of the story. For now, he would have to barricade all these thoughts away and focus on the present.

A sharp ring hit his ear and a pain in his left leg. Tony kept walking normally to not raise any suspicions to all the agents who were targeted on him. He soon realized it was his phone, was he really this nervous? A trained assassin almost freaking over a call on his cell phone? He softly pulled his phone out. Looked and had to focus for a few seconds; it was General Rumford, his boss. She would ask him to come back to the headquarters with out giving a reason no doubt. If he didn’t, he would either be captured or shot, either way he was doomed. He needed to runaway.

“Excuse me sir!”  A man behind Tony had said.

Tony almost jerked but as soon as he turned and saw no harm from the man he replied, “Is something wrong?”

“O nothing sir” The man covered his mouth with his hand for a brief second then brought it back down to his waist, “ I just need directions” He spoke with a smile.

“Sure where do you want to go?”

3 Years of reading body langue taught Tony well. He knew the man is hiding something since he covered his mouth, its natural instinct for some people. The smile was fake as well; there were not enough wrinkles around his mouth when he smiled. This man was a rather new agent apparently.

The man said, “To the statue of liberty”

“Ok, well you’ll want to-“

Tony smashed his elbow into the agents nose. His free arm blocked the mans resistance and cranked his arm furiously.

“AAHHH!” The new agent shrieked like an animal being abused.

Tony kicked the man to the floor using his body weight and dashed to the nearest way out of the park. He was tempted to see how many agents would have loomed from the bushes and had dashed after him. He knew that would only slow him down. He kept sprinting.

After half a mile of full sprint his legs refused to move. They felt num and worthless. After a full stop the pain hit him. This wasn’t just a burn, it was fire that shot up his legs. A normal person would have cried out but Tony was trained to hold in pain. He was trained by the people trying to assassinate him. Pretty scary thought.

After a short rest, Tony started to walk on a city street; New York just started to wake up. A taxi was driving by; wait why is there a taxi this early and at this spot? Strange but General Rumford would never make her agents drive a taxi for cover. He called for it, and barley got the drivers attention. Tony slipped in, checked it the driver was not a person that would kill him; then he shut the door and sighed heavily.

Blood finally rushed in his veins like a dam that had just broke open. Tony’s world spun. He needed to push back all these thoughts before he gets lost in them.

“Sir where too?” the driver spoke

“Airport” Tony mumbled

“You ok?”

Tony didn’t answer; his mind was spinning like crazy. He couldn’t believe what was happening. What’s next? He thought. I just need to get somewhere to stay low. Would the rest of my life going to be like this? What about my friends? My family? Thank goodness I’ am not married. Where the heck will I go?

As you can see I didn’t finish this story, sorry about that. If you think this is interesting please let me know so I know to keep going with this story or not. Please give some suggestions for the story too if you have any.

Every time you go on a plane it always looks the same doesn’t it? The people on the planes are always different but the plane is always the same? Rows of small thin chairs, aisles that you need to squeeze through. Well a very rich and creative air plane company called the Airbus has changed flying in a whole new way. No joke it’s crazy to think that planes could possibly look like this in the inside. Singapore airlines have bought it from Airbus and are now the current owner of this plane.

As you can see it’s a 2 story passenger flight. Believe it or not this plane weighs 600 TONS! Ya I know what your thinking, ‘WOW’. Your probly also thinking, ‘How in the world do they get that plane that weighs that much in the air!’ Well they do, and I have no clue how they do it.The plane must be on sometype of steriods or something. With this it’s able to fit 850 passengers on it. It’s not just any old plane filled up with rows of seats, it’s a plane with….. Well you’ll see soon. You could just scroll down and look at all the picture too but why not just keep reading!

Let’s start with the most boring. These are the Economy class seats, not too bad at all. It looks crowded but only because the plane itself is very wide so a number of seats can fit in a row.The seats are wider along with the aisles. The aisles can accommodate carts and passengers at the same time. All the restrooms on this plane are actually restrooms with good amount of space to it.

Ya I know, is this really in an airplane? Yes it is, This is what Singapore calls “ A class above first”. They haven’t really come up with a name for it yet so for now it’s just called the suites. This suit is comes with a fully adjustable seats and pretty comfy beds. The two suites can be divided by a panel. The two beds can also be attached too. My favorite feature is that you can change the light color of your room! Pretty awesome to me.

First class, the first time I ever saw this I thought this was the suites! The first class has a type of lobby in the middle, for passengers to chill if they are tired of their room (which I would never get tired of). The sliding doors are closeable and have a star sky them in each cabin/ room. The bar is also open to First class at all time.

This is the upper deck bar of the plane. It is open all through the flight and has many drinks avaible for you. This is just the first generation of the Airbus A380, Airbus has planned to add casinos, double beds, showers and believe it or not, a gym! The picture on the bottom is of a shopping room the plane has, the prices are probably really high though. But hey, I would so go in there to walk around and be able to say I’ve been in a shop at thousands of feet in the air while moving hundreds of m/h.

Here are some other pictures of inside the Airbus A380s

We all make mistakes on the road, well that’s only if you can drive yet, but we all will or have make them. What is the most dangerous though? Well everyone will have different opinions and thoughts of what is more dangerous on the road. Here is a blog that writes about four most common and dangerous mistakes drivers like you make. Since everyone will have a different opinion on which mistake is more dangerous I won’t count down, ill just put them out there. You can number them for yourself J

Running Red Lights

Believe it or not but 75 % of auto mobile crashes are in cities! And what’s the most common cause of accidents in cities? Hitting the gas while the light just turns red. When you floor it a car could have gone early, it could hit you from the side. Also someone might have to suddenly stop to make sure you don’t hit him while going through the intersection. Well the person behind the car that suddenly stops could bump into the car because he/she may not be paying close enough attention.

Inattentive Driving/Not really paying attention.

Well there are a lot of people who do this. Talking on your cell, eating, putting on makeup, and messing with the car stereo all are a part of inattentive driving. This type of driving caused 4,704 deaths in the States in 2007, not including all the accidents it’s caused.  Doing these things mostly distract your thinking on what it’s suppose to be thinking of; the road.

Speeding

Where I live, in Qatar, many many people do this. They Race and drive faster than the speed limit. Many people don’t think of what danger they are putting on themselves and other people. First of all speeding makes many people around you nervous. When they are nervous they won’t think correctly to be on the road. They could be watching you, making sure you won’t hit them, but instead the car on the other side of them could hit them. That happens more than people expect.

Driving While Drowsy

Most the times people don’t want to drive while drowsy, but they need to pick the kids from school or the family needs something from the store. Test has shown that driving while fatigued is as dangerous as driving with alcohol or drugs. This is pretty freaky to me. It lowers your reaction time by almost a whole second; it has a huge impact on how your brain functions. It’s harder to multitask and harder to calculate how far a car is to your car.

There is a vast number of robotics, which is commonly known as robots. Many people think robots are these things that will come far off in the future that talk, walk and do things for us. That’s not wrong but they aren’t the only type of robots that will, or are, to be created and used. Sad to say (for you old folks) the type of robots that walk around and do as you command are just being tested. So most likely you won’t have one of your own. Even if you’re old you can easily go and play with robots, robots are many places. Most robots these days are used for manufacturing cars and other objects that require precise and accurate measurements.

Another example with different types of robots is the NASA rovers on the planet mars. These robots were made to explore, take pictures of the planet then send all the pictures back. The rovers are made with special tools and technology because it is alone with accomplishing its mission. What I mean is that we are not controlling the robot from earth. We have set out the mission (and give new objectives while in its mission) and it needs to explore using its scanning lasers and high tech features to take care of itself.

Believe it or not but there are robots in hospitals too! In your regular hospitals there are mostly just machines in hospitals. For Example: The machine that measures your heart rate, blood pressure and tells your doc if you’re dead or not. So don’t worry if your old, you will encounter robots and machines while you’re on your death bedJ. Back to subject now, only few hospitals in large cities have high tech robots. One in Japan uses a robot that rolls around the hallways into the patient’s rooms. The purpose for this robot is so the doctor can stay in his off and talks to patients through the screen the robot has on it as a head. d is robot is 6 feet tall, has a built in webcam and the screen can move around 360 degrees.

All photos are copied from http://www.zcars.com.au/bmw-gina/

This is the BMWs Gina, one of the newest created cars. This car is purely amazing and different then any other car out there….. But what is with the skin????  It seems like the car itself has skin that is wrinkling up. Don’t worry its not skin, its a type of fabric, this type is very special. BMW says that this metreal is flexible, stretch able and has many different features. The martial is water resistant, hard to burn or set to flames and is resistant to sand or dust. This is a man-made fabric skin; polyurethane (a thick and gewy/glewy substance) coated Spandex.

These are some of the amazing features that the Gina will have: First, the Gino has a special engine and hood. As you can see in one of the pictures the hood “tears” apart in the middle, it does not pop up like normal cars. Second the headlights “close their eyes” when not needed, this shows how stretchy the fabric is. Third, the tale light can disappear too. What causes this is that the tale lights aren’t poking out of the car, so when the lights turn completely off its not possible for us to see them. Fourth, my favorite is that a spoiler will appear if you reach a fast speed. BMW says that the fabric is so stretchy and strong that a spoiler appears with out the skin even looking stretched. Fith, when the Gina is parked, the car’s steering wheel and other instruments sit in a stand still position; this allows the driver an easy entry. The steering wheel and the other instruments moves to their correct positions when the driver presses the start button. The headrest rises from the seat once the driver is seated, making it easier to get in and out of the seat. Its like the car turns alive when turned on, skin, bone, everything.

What Freedom of Speech is:
Most people know Freedom of Speech as a human right in the first amendment in the Constitution of the United States. In the Constitution it declares that everyone has a right to say what he or she feel like, or want to say. You may be offending someone, or talking bad about someone. You could be giving advice too. So pretty much you can say anything you want, but the constitution does not say there won’t be any consequences.
What I think about Freedom of Speech:
I think Freedom of Speech is a great right to have, especially as a blogger. Freedom of speech is good to me because it gives me a different view on something. For example: If there was a debate on a something or someone, I have a view on it and another person disagrees. If there was no freedom of speech I could say stop talking bad about this. With freedom of speech the person has a say about this person or thing, I let him have his say about it. While I listen to him I now know a different view that some people may think. Its like me letting the person explain why they think it’s a bad thing. Although I might disagree, I know why it’s bad to him. With out freedom of speech I would of never herd what he thinks and why he thinks it. There are limits you have to this too. You can’t just always talk smack about someone or something. You need to respect athourities and try not to offend anyone.
As a blogger freedom of speech plays a major role, some blogs are about things that could not be written about if there was no freedom of speech.
